First Presbyterian Church of New Gretna
Members & Friends Spotlight
As a Christian Community we are proud of the accomplishments of our members and friends. We share their joys in this web page.
Doris Spiegle, our trumpet player, is joined by
Bruce Hofmann in making a joyful noise to the Lord. Bruce and Doris both play with the Olney Symphony. Bruce is a frequent visitor during summer months, and we are doubly blessed with beautiful music when he and Doris play a trumpet duet. |

Claire & Alston Allen celebrated their
50th anniversary on April 26th. The congregation had planned to surprise them with a basket of cards, a bouquet of flowers, and a musical tribute . They were unable to attend church on that day, but elders of the church delivered the cards and flowers, then prayed with them for their daughter Denise who was quite ill. Claire & Alston's stong faith in God and love for each other is a shining example to our church family. |

"Sun Rise" -
As the sun rises,
The beauty arises with it.
The exotic aroma reaches us.
Lavenders, honeysuckle, and lilacs surround us.
Greens, purples, blues and pinks shine as day approaches us.
Clouds, like fluffy pillows, drift lazily by.
The day is just beginning,
Along with its beauty. |
